I just spent 10 minutes finding the newegg video tutorials on youtube that I used to walk me through my first build and then I see papalazaru already posted them! Strongly recommend using those while building it as well.
It's a work-in-progress: Ruin Studios
Thanks for the vids, will look into them when I have the time :D

Just get a can of that foaming yellow goo. Hook all the parts together, make sure they work, then go to town with the spray can. It's waterproof. It's a pretty good sound insulator, too. It's been done before, so it's a good idea.

FYI, I've measured 450W with 6950 SLI and a 2500K@4.2GHz, that's about 1/2 my PSU rating (850W).

You don't need a massive amount of power, but you do need clean reliable power. It's better to buy quality over quantity in PSUs : (http://www.realhardt...vos/Page541.htm).

- Good PSUs, by Seasonic, Enermax or Seasonic designed (Corsair, XFX, Antec) are good to go. New OCZs aren't bad.
- Good case for sound proofing is the Fractal Design R4, Corsair Obsidian 550D. Carbide 300R / Bitfenix Shinobi / Zalman Z9+ is you want a cheaper case.

Everything is better with Metal.
