Hey all,
So my company is looking for an extra part-time Asp.Net coder and I've been trying to reach out to some online communities similar to GameDev but geared towards non-game coding or web-coding specifically. However, I haven't had much luck - randomly googling seems to turn up only those "rehash" sites or empty forums filled only with spam-bot posts. So any recommendations from other coders who may frequent such boards?
Thanks!
EDIT: Also, if you have some experience with Asp.Net and want a small part-time gig on the side (remote work a possibility), shoot me a PM and I can forward you the job description and details!
GameDev-like forums for regular programmers or web coders?

WebDev.Net?
Hey, this would be cool idea. Though I'm sure GD.Net takes up 115% of your time as it.
Try reddit for both a decent population of web developers to choose from, and likely lots of links to other communities.

Thanks for the suggestions!
RE: Sitepoint and Stack Overflow - I see they have a careers/jobs sections and cost to post an AD is $49 for the former and a hefty $350 for the latter, which is similar to Monster/Careerbuilder. How are these two? We are opting not to use Monster/Careerbuilder or the such as there's too much spam / offshore agencies / recruiters / etc.) Does anyone have any experience with Sitepoint or Stack's one?
RE: Reddit - I always thought it as a "random geeky news" site ala 4chan, not exactly a job board; I imagine putting an ad there would just get removed or spammed to all hell and beyond. Do they even have a regular "forum" or a job board? I am looking now but can't seem to find one.
Hahah, that's actually the first thing I tried right before making the post but nope, doesn't exist

I suggested reddit more as an avenue towards discovering other places to find jobs/post about your availability; didn't really mean it as a endpoint in and of itself. Although I have stumbled across at least one subreddit that focuses on job offers/postings, so you might poke around there and see if you can find it too :-)
