Update:
I just remembered a couple more ideas that I've been thinking would be great
Harry Potter
The first three Harry Potter games on ps2 were just excellent. They followed the story closely, had side quests/objectives, a great spell system, and a ton of free roaming and exploring. They were really great games and I would sit down and play them any time. After those three, though, they decided to just quit trying and feed off the success of the movies to make a quick buck. The result were total crap games not worth playing. If someone were to remake the entire series just following the formula from the original three, I would probably go out and preorder them right now. All they would have to do is focus on adding more content in the game like making the story longer, adding more spells, making the castle bigger, etc...
And another thing I thought is how awesome an mmo the HP universe could make. There's just way more potential in that to even get into in one post
Online Massive Medieval War Game
This is just a simple thought of how cool it would be to play through a Lord of the Rings style battle with all players (or a lot of players, mixed in with NPCs). Even a simple match-based game where players attack and defend a castle would be cool. It could be particularly cool on the wii, with the sword fighting controls like on wii sports
Games you wish they'd make/remake
I'd really like a Halflife 3. ([size=2]No word yet on if it's even being worked on... 6 years after HL2: Episode 2)
I'd also love a remake of Halflife 1. ([size=2]Been silent for ages. Until 5 days ago (for an April fools tweet, apparently), their front page twitter box had the last tweet as "posted 352 days ago". It wasn't a joke)
I'd also love the next three parts of the MINERVA: Metastasis series. ([size=2]The solo developer for that project was recruited by Valve for Halflife 2: Episode 3. Refer to first request)
This isn't exactly 'modern day graphics', but there's a "High definition texture pack" for the first Deus Ex that supposedly ups the textures and the 3d models at least somewhat - I never tried it myself though.

I'd love to see Deus Ex redone with present day graphics...
...so I guess I'm happy just going back and dealing with the original's issues because I still love it.

I want a remake of Prehistorik games. I thought it makes a cool franchise.
As a matter of fact, this avatar of mine is from that very game.

That totally caused me a flashback of EVO... I love that game! A remake of that would be awesome! (though SPORE is as close as we can get)
EVO, it reminds me a similar game on Commodore 64. Initially you have a kind of creature you created (a spider?) it evolves, it must eat and reproduce. The spider becomes an ant (or similar) then you can evolve with wings. Anyway, it was cool.

I wasn't alive that long ago, but that takes me back to the days when Tamagotchi were popular. I always wanted one but for some reason they were labeled as a "girl" game lol
Edit:
(off-topic) by the way I checked out your portfolio in your description, that's some sweet stuff
Thank you!
about C64, I was having it at 6 years old. I remember I was having flu and my father bought it as gift because I had a really bad flu.
I remember having it on the bed... with that tape reader, haha wonderful. I began to study basic to draw lines but that was not exacly my destiny (I mean becoming a programmer).
I only know Fortran, since I had to study it.

This.
Also I'd like Elite and the XWing/Tie Fighter games remade.
if you think programming is like sex, you probably haven't done much of either.-------------- - capn_midnight
I was just wishing for a new animal breeding game, something like Plant Tycoon, but I could also definitely go for an evolution game like EVO.
I want to help design a "sandpark" MMO. Optional interactive story with quests and deeply characterized NPCs, plus sandbox elements like player-craftable housing and lots of other crafting. If you are starting a design of this type, please PM me. I also love pet-breeding games.
I'd love to see Deus Ex redone with present day graphics and better enemy AI. I distinctly remember the AI agents not patrolling properly if they were not in view - which made stealthing a bit of a bitch since you couldn't work around patrols without seeing them.
THIS. I cannot agree more, even though I still consider it my favorite game of all time, the AI was poor and easy to manipulate - especially during a 5th playthrough. But if any game deserves a remake, it's Deus Ex 1.
That, and Planescape Torment... hell of a story, fantastic dialogue and incredible environment would really shine with good voice acting and graphics. The combat and interface could use a bit of a facelift though, but I wouldn't pull it away from DND rules.
Though I think that both these titles could really use a new layer of gloss, I'd hate to see them changed much more than that. So maybe I don't want to see them remade after all!
