Hi everybody. What you think about these names?

Narrow Spark Productions
Mirror Eye Productions
Beer Can Studios

Vote in post please. I was thinking about narrow spark. Maybe you have some idea on a name?
I'd go with Narrow Spark.

I think that you should choose the one which suit your game studio best, and in my opinion, Narrow Spark hit it.

Narrow Spark Productions as well; I'd avoid the Beer Can Productions if you want to take the project into serious / investing grounds in the future.

4th for Narrow Spark.
Narrow Spark definitely. If you need more ideas this is a little fun tool (in fact the names you suggest sound like they could be coming from it :P).

Ditto for "Narrow Spark," but I might ax "Productions" out of it. Gives the name a little more impact and makes it seem more individualized, IMO.

I've kind of grown to think that you should establish a mission statement and pick a name that follows from that. It's much more important that you have a strong mission statement, and having a name that reinforces your mission statement will make you more appealing imo. iD, Valve, and Bungie all have names that speak to the nature of the company in some way, and that's part of the reason they are memorable.
Honestly, iD, Valve and Bungie are memorable because they made several high-profile games that define the gaming sphere as a whole.

Does Zenimax feel/sound more or less appealing than Bungie? One is a parent company true, but 'Zenimax' doesn't really exude anything about the nature of the company like 'Bungie' does. Because of that Zenimax feels generic even though they are responsible for some of the largest games released in the last decade. THQ aka Toy HeadQuarters also responsible for great games, but the name doesn't really embody any ideal for employees to rally behind.

I just think the name should be more evocative of the company as a whole rather than just something witty that may or may not align with the goals/operations of the company. It's a wasted opportunity to cement your mission statement in your company's identity not to.
