Another falls!

Currently, Wasteland 2 is about the only new game I'm looking forward to. Simply because I've already purchased it, because I trusted the dev team enough to risk a few bucks for a modern game done in a classic manner, and that it is hopefully better than Fallout 3.

I can't really find any changes that I do like honestly. I guess if I had to pick the specific thing that I dislike the most it's gotta be the instant respawns, because there isn't really any way to implement that that won't fuck the game up. There are good ways to implement everything else they've announced, but I'm positive they won't get it right. I've just lost all faith in them

Instant respawn is supposedly just in FFA. It's not supposed to be in team playlists.

edit: unrelated to the above, but I'm most excited for GW2. Pre-purchased the collector's edition day 1. I was not happy giving EB games my business by the way. Whoever made them the only retailer in Canada carrying it will feel my wrath.

Ah well that stuff is relieving. I'm still on the fence about the game though. As long as they bring back the competitive ranking system it can't be as bad as Reach.


Also I was pretty excited about gw2 too, but I saw a video of some group combat and it looks way too cluttered. You really can't tell what's going on so there can't be a lot of strategy. I got excited about all the different elementalist abilities and the potential behind swapping weapons and attunements in battle, but I'm starting to think there won't be all that much strategy

I'm adding Tera to my list, it looks like a lot of fun because of the skill-based combat and a lot more precise and strategic than gw2
