im sorry for the premature post yesterday, i was after some advice about pitching ideas when i should have really had it presented first anyway...
http://cloud.prohosting.com/deity5/
this is my game concept, please have a read and let me know what you think of it. i just realised i left my email address off the whole site, i think... so if you want to contact me my email is onfu@iprimus.com.au
cheers.
Your design doc, while interesting, is difficult to read because of your confusing use of the term "deity." A deity is a god ; you seem to use it to refer to a race of beings created by one of the gods that inhabits your game world. This makes the description rather hard to follow, especially since you flip back and forth between "gods" and "deities."
If you can find a better term and review your documents then I think we'll be better equipped to offer constructive criticisms and suggestions. Good luck!
EDIT: Looking the doc over again, I seem to see that you don't mean the creatures to be gods, but that the creatures call the gods "deities." This is all well and good, but then you need to stick to one term (to make it easier on those of us reading the design doc) and try to phrase your descriptions as unambiguously as possible. Good luck!

i see how that may be confusing...understand though that i just wanted to get my ideas down as quickly as possible and everything is very rough,...i dont actually know the exact dictionary defenition of "deity", i use the term to represent an allied collective of people (player characters), as each person when they enter the game "belongs" to one of the opposing gods.
the gods dont interact in the game (gods are not "DMs"), they are just the storyline justification for how the world operates. characters in the game fall into one of maybe 4 or 5 or more set deities (new deities can be manually created later). the characters are to a degree protected and sustained by their gods (and on my site i refer to those people as a deity, like refering to christians or muslims). the wordly gameplay is pegged at a kingdoms verse kingdoms scenario. i realise that this alone is nothing new, but there are many features described which improve on current games of this type, such as an advanced combat engine where the character is able to be far more innovate than simply standing beside the opponent and hitting it repeatedly with one single unrealistic looking attack function.
anyway, point taken...i do need to neeten up my wording..
perhaps i will post again soon when i take the time out to make a well structured presentation.

COVEN
1 : a collection of individuals with similar interests or activities
2 : an assembly or band of usually 13 witches
you could use that word on your groups instead of ''deity''
and you could call a single player-charater for an avatar
you should call the gods deities instead since thats
the name of the game/project
..an avatar beloning to a coven worshiping a deity
