"saving" a object from a modelfile..?
Hi, this may seem like a stupid question, but I'm going to ask it anyways. This has maybe been gone through in the tutorials, if it has, it has gone house past me.. My question is related to the tutorial where we load the milkshape model..
Say I have loaded this model (a spacecraft by the way) and I want to move it somewhere? How can I do this? say I'm loading 2 model files, and I want to control them separately.. Ie: when I'm programming, and want to fiddle a little with the vectors, I want the spaceship to move by the x axis.
ship.x+=1; or somethig.. just to give you a little clue about what I want to do.. Any help would be appreaciated! =)
btw: I'm not too experienced in this programming, so a detailed description would also suit me perfectly
Thanks in advance!

in your drawing scene procedure, you can move each object separately by using the glPushMatrix and glPopMatrix functions.
eg.
Procedure DrawScene()
glPushMatrix
glTranslatef(1,0,0)
DrawSpaceShip1
glPopMatrix
glPushMatrix
glTranslatef(0,0,5)
DrawSpaceShip2
glPopMatrix
End Procedure.
eg.
Procedure DrawScene()
glPushMatrix
glTranslatef(1,0,0)
DrawSpaceShip1
glPopMatrix
glPushMatrix
glTranslatef(0,0,5)
DrawSpaceShip2
glPopMatrix
End Procedure.
Thanks for the information, I havent tried this out yet, but I''m sure this will help me out.. however, is there any sites out there that could have some more information on this theme if I would need it?
Thanks Again
