Hi,
I'm trying Angelscript and have integrated it into a project - is it normal for angelscript to add 10seconds to the linking in Release mode?

- but debug is still fast (doesn't add noticeable time to build).
I'm just using the stdstring, array, and builder addons. My project uses precompiled headers, and /MT, I tried disabling all optimizations (No Whole Program Optimization, /Od, and disabling /GL) - but it still takes 8 additional seconds. I even made all my project settings identical to angelscripts msvc10 (although I have to change angelscript to /MT and /MTd instead of /MD and /MDd) - but it still takes an additional 10 seconds to link.
Computer is fast @4.5Ghz with modern SSD hard drives.

Linking adds 10s
With 'whole program optimizations' I can imagine it would take longer because I believe in this mode the linker goes through the entire program to see if it can make further optimizations with inlining etc that couldn't be done by the compiler.
Without it I really don't see why the link time is increasing in Release mode.
I don't have MSVC10, but I never noticed any extraordinarily long link time in MSVC8 or earlier versions.
It is almost certainly some project settings that is causing the extra delay. Perhaps you can try recreating the AngelScript project from zero instead of using the ones from the SDK? It's very easy. Simply create a new library project and add all the cpp source files.
