3D Modelling
Anyone know any good 3D modelling programs out there that aren''t too expensive? I tried milkshape, but it doesn''t handle high polygons. ie: I tried loading some models other people had done and it couldn''t load them.
Thanks, Chris Davis
Try Blender. Sure, it''s hard to use (at first) but it is very powerful
. The only bad part about it is that it only supports a couple export formats (Blend, DXF, VideoScape, and VRML).

They use Maya here at UNM. It is a damn good program. Great interface. Easy to use. We are always having graduates from the class here move onto jobs at Pixar.
Sadly you can only get Maya if you''re rich or not very attached to your soul.
