If that's alright. (Hope there's not a section for these that I missed? If so, I apologize)
Celfoid here. Been lurking for a while now, decided to sign up and just let people know I'm here basically. This seems like a great community, and I look forward to watching it grow.
A bit of bio: I'm a professional... nothing, really. I spent a lot of my life in the internet and in video games, studying random facts and subjects... really whatever sounded interesting at any given time. I'm particularly into physics, biology, history, mythology, culture, programming, and of course video games. For a long time I wondered, ''What kind of job out there would work for me?'' and a bit more recently I was turned to Game Design. From what I've gathered... it seems like game design requires (probably bad wording there on my part) one to have some knowledge in multiple areas, which is what attracted me. I like diversity.
Of course, I don't intend to be a designer of any kind for quite a while.. particularly because I have no idea what I'm doing. I do have some very (very) rudimentary knowledge in programming, I'm horrible at art, and as I mentioned previously I have some knowledge in other fields. Just not enough, if there is such a thing. But that is what I'm aiming for, which is a heck of a lot better than what I was shooting towards before (which was nothing). Just gotta build up that experience.
So.. here I am! Nice to meet you all! I'll probably be watching more than posting, because as I mentioned, I know nothing. This is my starting point. =)
An introduction!
