Android 10 billion promotion - How much of a cut are developers getting?

With the recent deals on the android store for their 10 billion downloads, I was having a conversation the other day about the developers.

It seems to be very hard to find information on what cut the developers are getting from this promotion. Some blogs say that developers still make the profit of the original price despite the cut (so Google is footing the bill to cover the difference), but none seem to have any links to back this up. Likewise I've seen some blogs complain that developers are losing a lot money with these deals, but aside from some comparisons to Amazon don't seem to have much information either.

Since we have so many developers around here, can anyone shed some light on this? It would be really great if the devs are still earning full amounts from their games.
I'm sure it's all under pretty strict NDA, but my total conjecture is that they're probably still giving devs their normal price.
