Hi all! I lost the old "what are you working on" topic so I am starting a new one!
I haven't done much programming lately, and had an urge to begin a new project. So naturally it had to be a game. I wrote a (so far) functioning scrolling 2D shooter engine. It works well, I have some of the base work completed. I still need to finish writing my pathing system for enemies and bullets.
So far, I am very happy with the way the program has been going along. I have a few ideas for this game and I hope it turns out well.
Here is a screenshot of my current project.

Nothing at all to look at, it's a work in progress but I feel like it's coming along smoothly. I don't have any graphics yet, so I am just drawing the bounding boxes of each entity. Cyan and dark blue entities are enemies, the yellow boxes are bullets being fired from the player and the green box is the player.
Also my font is rendered strangely.
So guys N gals, what are you working on?
What are you working on? v2
Hello! My current project I'm working on is with C++ and using SFML for windowing, networking, and events, sounds, and using OpenGL for rendering (SFML's back end is OpenGL). I'm also using Box2D for physics. It's a 2D sidescroller/platformer engine for a shooting action game with a storyline and scripted scenes and events (like hl2), with gameplay like Mojang's Cobalt. I've been working on for about 6 months. The project is coming along nicely and I don't really have anything to show for it right now. I can get a nice framerate of 60 FPS while rendering a lot of fancy graphics effects (particles, explosions, etc). I'll try to get a screenshot or something here eventually. Right now I have the renderer, audio, system, and input modules setup and working nicely. My current goal is to setup the scripting module with Lua.
Your project looks nice!

I was working on a small FPS but I ditched it, as it was too demanding and it needed too many art assets.
So I'm back to an old project of mine, a futuristic racing game. I'm currently implementing the AI for opponents. I think I can finish this one.

Working on creating tutorials strictly focused on making games and not any specific topic. It is from scratch to end making games using C++/openGL/Visual Studio/Blender as a DVD. Covering all bases here. Why? Not enough information in one spot. I hated trying to find the answers and I'm trying to bring them to one spot. Also, how many game books say "game development" that really just focus on opengl or windows programming?www.ultimategamedevelopment.com
Also working on an online FPS, doing everything from scratch:

Today I have to bump up my import filters YET AGAIN.
Of course I have looked at collada YET AGAIN, too bad I don't know how to produce the information I need in Blender.
How do I do "attach points" / "joints" / whatever?
What about the per-mesh user data using <extra> and <property>? They have been on the todo list for a while...

I was working on a Lego trial truck, but I realized that all I could do is copying others' ideas, so it wasn't really worth investing into (but I bought two kits and dusted down my old stuff anyway).
Other than that, I'm not working on anything at the moment, though I haven't dropped Paper Modeler. I moved to a new town, looking for a flat to live together with my girlfriend, I have a new work and other stuff, I'm simply not at my computer now. It will be hard to pick the project up again, I'm planning to take courses in Finnish, planning to discover the town, etc. We'll see.

Working on my main project. It keeps growing which is a good thing.
Going to release it on iOS platforms, Windows, Linux, and going to try out Steam too whenever it gets closer to completion.
But until then, it's a great hobby project. Good stress relief.

I'm that imaginary number in the parabola of life.
I'm working on two projects:
AdventureFar (WIP name)
2D turn-based classically-inspired RPG
To be commercially released mid-2012
(Early screenshots - not the final state of the graphics)
Nomen Rationarium
A tool for organizing, marking, and filtering names for charactors for creative projects (games, books, etc...)
To be released as freeware (with optional donations) within two weeks of today.
(Almost complete. Within two weeks I'll almost certainly have it ready for download for free)
KanonBaum, your game looks really cool.
