Hi everyone,

I've been getting a steady trickle of clients in since joining this site about a year ago, which is grand, but I'd like to increase the trickle to a torrent. I'm sure there's a large amount of organic growth and word-of-mouth involved, but does anyone have any advice for methods of getting to potential clients? Any other sites, forums, conferences or hangouts for developers who might be interested?

So far I've found the best return has been when someone has posted something complimentary on a portfolio thread of mine - two good comments ended up in three separate developers contacting me within days. So make sure you get any supporters or satisfied customers posting on your threads!
