Thumping Music for Pumping Games

Hey fellaz

being a electronic music producer for 13 yrs now. i do feel that it would b nice to have the chance to have my tunes integrated in a killer game.

i can ofcourse twist n turn the beats according to game scenario/scene changes in fmod or somethin

im mainly lookin for fulltime video game job paying something like 1500-2000$ per month. i am based in india at the moment but have worked internationally before..

While your music sounds pretty good, I'm only hearing electronic based music and this greatly limits the kinds of projects you can support. If you're looking for a full time video game job writing only electronic-based music then I think you'll find very few viable options. Most in-house jobs want someone who is highly flexible. On top of that music production for video games is only a fraction of what most in-house jobs require of you. There's also contracting/recording live musicians, sound design, voice over production/direction as well as implementation which you hit on briefly with the FMOD reference. And if you're in any kind of managerial position then you'll be asked to present budgets and production schedules for approval of those leading the project. Basically they're looking for the most bang for their buck.

You could certainly find work as a contract composer for projects looking for this style of music but an in-house job will require much more variety in music styles as well as more skill sets, in my opinion. Finally, it's rare to land a full time position while working remotely. Most employers want their full time employees relocated to their location - so that's something else to consider.
