Moddable games list
Not at all, I was just being a j4ck 4ss. On the other hand, since you can actually make your own ''levels'' in that game, I think that technically constitutes modding. Besides, everybody else has already named all the good ones. Only other game I can think of is that old DOS game ''Breach.''

not all games are moddable, FULLSTOP. the only way to mod is if the company that developed the game releases an SDK 4 it... Most of the ones listed are moddable, 4 example Quake, Hal-Life, Unreal Tournament, Max Payne, Homeworld.......
Why would u wanna hack into the game files when u can just mod the game...

Are these games moddable?
Jazz Jackrabbit 2 - Epic
Hunter Hunted - Sierra
They have a level editor, but can they be modded in other ways? I want to know what would be required to add a new character to these games, whether it''s by the means of replacing an existing character temporarily (and saving the backup files obviouslly) or adding an extra character to play as. These games don''t give you the software to add characters or mod easily, so that means you''d have to hack into it? Someone at the JazzCommunity forums said to make a new character for Jazz2, you''d need the sourcecode, which Epic has the rights to and is not giving anyone. There must be a way to hack the program and read the info on the CD and edit the game.
But in any case, that stuff is WAY out of my area of knowledge. I''m not very technical. I just want to get a program that will allow me to view the existing game character''s animations, and edit them to fit into another game. Yes, to start off I''m not being original and creating my own characters, but once I get the hang of it, I will make my own. I want to play as Sonic in Jazz Jackrabbit 2 and Jazz in Hunter Hunted. Also to play as Jazz in Duke Nukem 3D, and I think you can do that, but I need to get the animations of Jazz from the 3D bonus stages of Jazz Jackrabbit 1.
Any help you guys can give me for this?
