Let's design a game, shall we?
I''m working on a game, it''s codename is Nohtaram. Here;s how it goes.
1. Online only.
2. Alien guy hunting you down. Yeah, like the movie.
3. Dark hallways, etc so it will scare the shit out of you.
4. It''s a Adventure/Horror/ 3D shooter.
I have ideas for multipe game modes, for example, one is a player can take over the Alien instead of the computer, another is like tag except with being the alien, etc.
Not very deep, and I need more ideas.
Just make it scary, or freaky.

Err, why online only?
A lot of the features you are looking for - mood, tension, etc would be absolutely killed by lag.
So... an online version might have mulitplayer, where the person tries to plant eggs to spawn beasties that eat the other player. The gameplay is focused on finding good hiding places for the eggs, and finding the other players'' hiding spots to kill the eggs before they hatch.
Just an idea...
