Ok, sure, when you know your way around google it's fairly easy to fix strange results. But I was a little dumbfounded when my search for "Don't read source code". Pulled up a whole page of results about the crappy movie that just came out recently.

Anyone else had useful search terms busted by mainstream media?
You can use negative filters like -movie and -film in Google searches to help get more relevant results. Annoying, but I suppose the average person is more interested in the movie so Google is doing the "right thing" be default.

Like I said, a little Google foo gets around it. But still annoying. There have to be other fun programming related searches that, for the obvious case, turn up stupidly unrelated results. Figured others would have some good ones to share.
Apologies. Apparently my Google-fu is stronger than my reading-fu.

I've always found it annoying when searching for operators, like when trying to decipher this.

this.

:o
Try searching for stuff related to X windows.

Weird, that although many of the results are quite graphic, they are not generally related to graphics.
