Visual Studio 2010 Broken on Installation
ive tried reintalling VS 2010 multiple time to the same result .
Intelisense is half broken,(doesnt show S_OK / E_FAIL up),
says all my .vssettings files are not valide, but the .Net side seams to work fine, but i want the C++ side to work as-well.
i dont know what is breaking it, i tried reinstalling Windows XP SP2 x64 and still same result. it does not explicately list XP x64 as supported but (it seams to be detected as windows Server 2003 x64).
so any help on how to fix this would be great.
i thought this would be the most appropriet place to post this
Thanks in Advance.

when you run VS 2010 for the first time it will ask you what type of developer style to use. C++ Web C# VB.Net,
but i does not ask me, but it did last time but not now, ive had this issue on XP x86 as well, but the problem is.
if XP x64 is not supported why will it compile and run more or less like it should without Intellisense showing a few things you know exist like S_OK or E_FAIL. but it dont and it wont import any .vssettings file. now if that does not tell you whats wrong i dont know what will. a 2Hr video of me installing VS and then running it and then trying to import stuff.
so CAN SOMEONE SHOW ME HOW TO FIX THIS.

Might be a good place to start.

Also, when you uninstall Visual Studio before you reinstall it, do you check (and remove) any files or folders remaining in the old install location. You might also wipe out the Visual Studio 2010 folders from your Documents folder before reinstalling as well.
