Before I start I want to tell people I cannot program but have a great idea for a game. Roughly it will be based on the Buck Rogers board game which was released years ago. The aim of the game is to take over as many parts of the universe as possible. The problem is that people can create an army and take over your sections of planets etc. Each go, every factory you own can produce a warrior, spaceship, satellite or another factory but some take 2 goes. In a battle, a dice roll decides if you destroy the opponent with lower rolls needed for the better weapons. The winner of the game is the one holding the most spaces at a set point. All of the planets are in an orbit and can be travelled between only by spaceship. What do you think???

Not to be discouraging, but if you''re basing it on an existing (board)game, it''s neither new, nor refreshing.
It''s also true that straight translations of boardgames into video games usually do not become very popular, unless it''s a very popular game already (Monopoly).

All in all, the short description you give does not show me any original elements at all. It''s just Risk in space.

I used to own that game when I was a kid. Starfleet Command is apparently almost exactly like it. The concept of using transports to move your troops is definitely a good implementation, but it''s hardly new. In fact, none of the features in Buck Rogers haven''t been used a dozen times. MadKeith is right. It was a good game, but it''s ancient history now.

Mabye you should make a game where the goal is to chop peoples heads off and store them in your freezer for your crazy BBQ.. It could be called Sunday Barbecue with Dhamer, or mabye not But it would be way more original and interesting than your game idea, no offence of course
