Hi folks!
We seem to have some trouble with the name of our engine. At least with the way how one should pronounce it.
We've made a video where I talk a bit over the lighting in [w]tech, which can be found here: http://www.moddb.com/engines/wtech/news/wtech-demonstration-of-lightprepass
Now some german guys pointed out that saying "wi tek" is just wrong and does lower the "respect" of our engine.
What do you think about this? We rather don't want to change the name, as it has a kind of "historical" meaning to us. Also that would be a bit late, huh?
Some other option we thought of is saying it all in German, which would be like "we tech", opinions on this?
Pronouncing our Engines name
sounds like "Wii", or "Wee" (meaning small but cute, or bursting for a piss). Could be confusing.
"double-u tech" don't sound good either. But "we-tech" looks like the logical answer. I guess you don't have much choice.

Everything is better with Metal.
I've been pronouncing it in my head as double-u tech, which sounded fine to me.
I always thought that 'Sylphis' and 'Abyssal' were always unfortunate names for engines, but that's just because I misread them when I first saw them.

I don't see a I E or Y after the w, thus it's double-u tech
Sounds perfectly fine and normal to me.

The brackets are like an encapsulating o, so you could call it ow tech or wo tech. [/wise guy]
Considering I haven't heard of this before and I am assuming many people haven't, then it's not too late to change the name.

I don't care if you pronounce it we tech...
...but it's spelt double you tech, so I'm guessing that's how most people will pronounce it.

. 22 Racing Series .
When I read it I said "double u tech". Not sure where you're getting "why tech" or "we tech".

I believe the OP may be German. In German, "w" is pronounced as a "v". "ve tech" would be the natural german pronounciation of it, which is rather similar to a company who specialise in educational electronic toys...
