Hi there guys, i'm a programmer and have to use the modelling software a bit. I've worked with 3ds Max before but now I have to do a bit of stuff in Maya.
How can I get the object (mesh) 's XYZ in a scene, is there some way to view the properties or something?
A quick question about Maya 2010

I just need to know the coordinates of an object in the scene.

Edit: missed the 2nd post.
I've never bothered doing this but you could work out its position (if it's been frozen) by creating a dummy object (frozen at 0,0,0) and snapping it to the centre of your model.
If it hasn't been frozen the coordinates are in the channel box (Ctrl+A cycles to it on the right). I'm not really sure what you're after tbh.

Create Menu -> Locator
Use V to snap it to a vertex.
