Windows version
Wich windows version should I deveolp games for?
I have Win 98, Win Me, and Win 2000 to choose from?
If i chose Win Me, will my games work with Win 98?
Develop for win2k, but avoid using any win2k specific API calls. That way you can guarantee your game works in windows 2000, and it will work across all other versions. When installing win2k try to use FAT32 filesystem to avoid any problems. If you go for NTFS you may experience problems distributing your software.
Win2k is also far more stable, so if your game crashes it wont take the whole damn OS down with it. Instead win2k will allow you to debug it and see what went wrong.
Well thats my oppinion, no doubt the next post will disagree with me...
