It is called Blind Tasting, and it is written by A.C. Houston. The two more popular options are Kindle and iBooks (can be found via the iBooks search feature). I don't know if there is a printed version still available.
I don't want to spoil the story, but it involves a novel scientific experiment and a whole lot of geekiness. It's well written, and the author is quite tech savvy. She is trained as a linguist, and she is also a Java programmer. She is interested in a very wide range of topics, and has incorporated some of them into her book. I think I spent more time researching the various topics she mentions than I did reading the novel itself.
She is an independent author, and any sales from the book will help her to work on future projects. Her and I don't see eye to eye on a lot of political topics, but I must admit that she is right on the money when it comes to being a geek. You can really tell it is a geek story written by a geek, for geeks.

She also wrote a blog post about her experiences with this project. It might be worth a read for any aspiring authors.
Thank you.
P.S. I also wrote an iBooks review for the book.
