Can anyone tell me how to get a joystick driver to re-evaluate its settings from the registry?

I am specifically working with the Logitech G25/G27 and SlimDX DirectInput/Joystick class.

I need to be able to change some of the drivers settings in the registry and then get the driver to re-evaluate these changes.

Any tips are much appreciated.

It'll depend entirely on the driver, and might not even be possible.

Also, moving this to the lounge since it's not DirectX related and you'll probably get a better response there.
