I would like to write a Trivia video game for my family on a PC. I'm having a hard time finding PC buzzer controllers. What would be ideal for my game are the Buzz! controllers for Playstation for up to 4 players.
I did find libraries for the Buzz! devices but they are in other languages & the authors used little commenting. Re-writing these libraries to Java seems very difficult.
The trivia game runs under Windows, and my aim is for 2-4 players. I do not want players huddled around a keyboard like in the "You Don't Know Jack!" series.
Does anyone have ideas for buzzers or anyone know of a good link to use the Buzz! controllers for PC?
PC Trivia Buzzers
xbox 360 controllers? Cheap gamepads? One button USB mouse (or a regular USB mouse for that matter)?
you may also want to consider C# as your language. It has more platform support.

Considered all these ideas, but I am now set on a structure similar to Buzz! controllers. Thank you for your suggestion.

True, but I just recently dove into game programming through Java as a hobby.
Doing more research, I found this link:

Being that it is for C, I'm looking into how Java works with USB devices.
