I've recently been looking into hooking up three moniters to my screen for development purposes. So I did some research and found out one way I can do it is by having 2 video cards. So long story short I start looking at some of the stores in the NYC area and they all have brand names like PNY, and XFX now I havent purchased a graphics card in quite a while, but I have never trusted brands outside of ATI and NVidia, but the weird thing is that alot of these graphic cards have titles that make it sound like they come from one of my trusted companies like XFX Radeon XXXX.
Can anyone shed light on these brands for me? you help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S If I have to I would just order them online, but I thought I could get away with just picking one up at the store.
XFX & PNY???
AMD and nVidia license their hardware for manufacture by other companies. That's why you'll see other "brand names" right alongside the Radeon or GeForce labels.
Some manufacturers are better than others. A couple hours on Google looking for the relevant brands should teach you all you need to know [smile]

What Apoch said. Also, I want to say that 3 monitors is great for development, it really lets you spread out your work. I have 2 20" wide screen on either side of a 24" wide screen. I can basically have 6 windows visible at once, so it's easy to work on multiple files and to see the visual feedback at the same time. I like it.
I've owned two XFX GeForce cards in the past and they both still work as far as I know (I gave them away when I upgraded to faster GPUs).
You think if I buy two of these cards they will be strong enough to run minecraft in HD??? Lol j.k thanks for the info It got rid of some of the worries I had about buying from these brands
XFX is actually one of the better relabeled brands out there in my personal experience; but again it'll depend on the exact GPU you want and such. Sometimes the vendors like to do overclocked models or other such gimmicks that don't work out as well as their stock stuff.
