Chrome web store launch

Did anyone notice that the Chrome Web Store went live today? If you're running an up-to-date copy of Chrome, you'll probably see a link to the web store in your new tab page. The idea is to provide a hub for distribution of web apps (and browser extensions, themes, etc). It's being launched ahead of the Chrome OS devices that are supposed to show up next summer.

I think it's a great concept, and not just because traffic to my website (see sig) is up several times its normal levels today due to the launch. And the great part is, you don't have to do almost any new coding to get into the marketplace with your game or app.

What do you guys think? Any chance you'll look there the next time you're looking for an online app? Or do you think it'll fizzle like Wave?

According to the top of the page I need to be using Chrome, so no. Web apps should not be browser specific, and for things which are (such as extensions or themes) the main browsers already have their own pages to download them.

I like it. I use Chrome as my primary browser. It will be great for Chrome OS.

I don't see myself using it in the near future, however.
Never mind, I found that it has a good use to replace the Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Maps desktop shortcuts I had.
