I was thinking more of a situation like this:
The alien race comes to Earth, their technology is 1000 years more advanced that ours. They meet the world leaders, introduce themselves, explain that they are on a mission that needs them to be physically here for 100 years, explain (and later prove) that their defenses are flawless. The world agrees to give them a spot somewhere in the Sahara desert in exchange for technology.
During the first years they establish themselves in the desert and begin to do the awesome things they are capable of, making use of outstanding artifices, and beyond all that: Being ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS and HOT.
The thing is, that beyond throwing us some stupid pieces of technology (still as advanced for having all our scientist working on them for decades) they completely ignore us and refuse any kind of social interaction without giving any kind of excuses...
