at least it was a phone, if you guys remember correctly, i lost a brand new pc when the house i rent one of the room was broken into.
hahaha! The salt in the wound is my gdnet rating going down as a result of this post...

Thanks, Moe.

Noggs, I'm definitely going to be better about locking the car from now on. And true, thankfully they didn't smash the window.

I'm pretty sure the poor things a lost cause now. It's been turned off and on it's way to some other criminal that is smart enough to do something with it.

Ouch, Evolution... but you're right, I should have been more careful to take it instead of accidentally leave it in there.

To track it I would have had to have the software on there ahead of time, and if it gets turned off there's not much more I can do.

And @ FableFox...

Your right, at least it was just a phone. I went home and my 2 year old gave me a big hug and I felt all better. She has a strange proficiency in putting my perspectives straight.

The moral of the story, by the way, is that I got a new Motorola Flip or whatever and I'm happy to have Android 2.2 to play with now!

There are a few rules that everyone really should live by:

1. Don't mess with another man's wife.
2. Don't mess with another man's car.
3. Don't mess with another man's stuff.

Anyone breaking any of these three rules has it coming.

Aren't 1 and 2 just special cases of 3? (kidding, kidding)

I'd say 2 and 3 are necessary condition for 1 (not counting the isolated cases) :)
[size="2"]I like the Walrus best.
it's why you leave latitude on by default, sure it lowers your battery time, but when you lose your phone it's just a matter of looking at google maps to find where it went
