I'm surprised no one else has posted this already, but Happy Thanksgiving! Today is when Americans gather around the table with their friends and family to stuff themselves silly and giving thanks for everything they have. My wife is roasting a turkey, making pumpkin and pecan pies, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and green bean casserole. Man oh man will I be stuffed silly soon!

It's been a generous harvest and I'm grateful for it.

It's not really a celebration, more meant to be a time to reflect on what we can be thankful for (ie food, friends, family). The "first" thanksgiving was between the early settlers to the US and the native americans here. They shared food and had a feast and decided every year we should remember to be thankful for what we have.
