Concerns:
1. Is this a good motherboard?
2. Is the CPU a good choice? I like the performance/price point of this CPU, but Intel's 875k and i7-950 are both close in performance and price as well and various reviews and benchmarks seem neck in neck.
3. Is this a good choice for SSD? I read up on benchmarks and reviews of a lot of SSD's and the OCZ Vertex 2 3.5" 90 GB seemed the best buy. 90 GB is plenty for Windows 7 and gaming. I plan to store media and other large files on another networked computer with 12 TB of storage.
4. Is this good RAM? I read that you have to tweak the response time settings in your BIOS due to this RAM having non-standard latencies for its grade.
5. Is this enough RAM? I'm assuming that with this CPU, triple channel is not an option, so two 2-gig sticks would be fine as opposed to three 2-gig sticks.
6. Any other concerns/tips/objections about this build? I came up with this build mostly via Newegg reviews and various hardware benchmarks around the web. Though I've built several computers from scratch in my lifetime, I'm by no means an expert. And I'm woefully behind the times when it comes to current hardware trends and standards. I would appreciate any criticism of this build or tips on how to improve it.

Thanks!

You don't need a beast like this to do development, it's just a bit faster to compile code, but for gaming you do. If you want to develop faster, buy a good CPU+RAM, if you want to game buy a good gfx card.

1. A card supporting CrossFire is always more expensive than one with a single pci-e slot. If you plan to buy a single video card (which is probably better), you better select another one. I also wonder why it don't support DDR3 1600, which is quite standard nowadays.
2. I don't know about AMD, it's probably very good. Just a note that Intel Sandy Bridge is supposed to get released just after Christmas..
3. I never tried any SSD, but 90gb is way too small for me, even if it's just for installed applications/games with data elsewhere.
4. Changing latencies in the bios is just a matter of doing it, very easy. As I said before, you probably could get DDR3 1600 for a similar price.
5. For now it's enough (4gb is the standard in most computer getting sold), but you might want more if you are used to let multiple applications open at the same time (like me with 4 instances of visual studio, a vmware machine, a game, etc).
6. A 750W power supply is a bit overkill if you only have one video card. 550W would be just great. The Antec case is awesome, I bought it for a friend. It's just a bit big for the parts you put in it.
