The game made 360 million dollars in 24 hours.

I tried the game but it wasn't anything special and the remote control cars with explosives are just stupid! Especially when you can even use them in Hardcore multiplayer mode. Mind you, I like the zombie mode.
Anyone else play it?

Yes, seeing as all the COD games are photocopies of each other with the occasional feature removed. "Dead horse" comes to mind tbh.

CoD4's perks system was an unfair, unbalanced joke yet for some bizarre reason other games are ripping it off.

Yea, I enjoy wargames [ MoH, CoD, Battlefield ] ... so I'm having a bit of fun with it. That was until...OMG how am I supposed to get -7172 XP points to get level 29. That would take a lot of team kills [grin] [grin]

And yes, cracked is just the name of the level ... haha.
I've been playing it on the PC. Overall, it's alright, but could have been a lot better.

Some issues that I have:

The game lags like crazy. Mind you, I'm not running a low end machine (an i7 980 with 2 Geforce 580's & 12 GB RAM) and I have a 50 Mb internet connection with a 30-40 ms ping to the server I'm running on. But the gameplay is extremely choppy. Not the game engine mind you. I'm getting a solid 60 FPS at all time, but you'll get use to players warping from one position to another. It becomes frustrating to be knifed for the 300th time by a person who was 50 ft away from you 1 second ago.

Also, the mouse lag is kind of bad. It takes about 1/5-1/4 second for it to catch up from what I've seen. This leads to the game feeling like you're playing on ice.
">Here
is a video of just a few issues. This video was recorded @ 60 fps, and never dipped below that the entire time. Yes, youtube does lower quality and reduce the framerate, but you can still notice the lack of smoothness.

Other issues I have are lack of spawn protection. Heck, everything related to spawning is bad. The games thinks nothing of having you spawn on a claymore, or in napalm, or just in the middle of a fire fight. The other thing I noticed in TDM is that the game has a tendency of spawning enemies behind you, so I've noticed the best way to rack of a good kdr is go one way, get a kill, then turn around, get a kill, and repeat.

The last major issue I have is the lack of ability to modify classes without having to quit the game. If you want to get a new contract, or modify a class for a future map, you have to quit. You can't even change these things between rounds.

Hopefully Treyarch will get a few of these issues resolved.

You can get 50Mb cable broadband connections in the UK, but they cost a good bit.

I've been playing BlackOps on the PC and am really enjoying it. Enjoying it a more than I did MW2. I think MW2's maps were a little on the big side to be enjoyable, not to mention the quick scoping and glitches. BlackOps' maps are nicely balanced CQC. I haven't touched the campaign yet.

Tip: If you are experiencing lag and you have decent system specs, type /r_multithread_device 1 in the console, and that should turn on multi threading in the game. That is, unless that turned it on in the recent update.

EDIT: Icy mouse? I haven't had any such problem with CoD. I've had that kind of mouse physics with all of the Battlefield games, but never with CoD.

I have a 50Mb connection here in Canada... I think most countries other than the US are starting to offer really nice speeds.
