Changing resolution
Hi all, and thanx in advance for reading. I''ve noticed that when Nehe''s basecode (or atleast the version I''m looking at) changes the resolution, it destroy''s the window, and creats a new window, thus reseting variables and what not. I''m sure there is another way to do it where things aren''t reset, but I''m just not sure how that is. Any ideas ?
Thanx.

Nope, because some cards can''t handle switching modes with an active context (on some cards it will kill the texture objects and stuff like that), so you have to destroy the window and the rendering/device context, and recreate it, and reset the states that were set before, as well as reupload any textures (to rebuild the texture objects), and any display lists.
