Hello all.
I am doing research on how to create a game whitout sound, text or decorative layer. We have to explain how the formation of a cabinet is done. My task in the group is to find as many options as possible.
I've bin working on a cardgame variant and some ideas about a web-browser one.
here i'm looking for people who thingk they know something interesting. Its not to copy it, just research. to see if there are other ways to look at it than i'm doing atm.
like to get feedback on this.
Research. looking for info
Have you discussed this weird assignment with your team and the faculty at your school?
You keep using the word "research" but I don't agree that the word is applicable. I think you're floundering because the assignment seems impossible. I think you and your team should go back to the guy(s) who gave you this weird assignment and engage in discussion with him or them, rather than with strangers on the internet.
Student projects have certain rules to abide by.

looking for info
There is no "info" on this. It's a creative exercise. You're supposed to exercise the creative part of your team's collective brains to work out a solution. As if nobody else had ever faced this particular challenge before (which might well be true).
And -- a good way to get ideas is to share ideas.

You mean, as in a body of government ministers/secretaries? Or as in a wood/particleboard storage area built into or upon a wall? You have to make a GAME about that?

What's a 'decorative layer'?
that is the layer whit all the pictures on it. in a 3d environment it would be the textures. We may use symbols, but only simple ones. so the people who are gona play it don't know its about the government.

one of the ideas i had was to let the player choose a party they like. we may not tell them what it is about, so it will be symbols like *. #, @, every party has some points the like and dislike. they values can be showed whit cubes, boxes, points, whatever.. And that its a puzzle to find the right combination to overcome some sort of problem. As in real you have to gather 50% of the party's.
But the tricky part in this is how to "dress it up" if i can't use art. I may not give any feedback in text or sound.
But this is just 1 idea and i need more. That is why i am looking around to see if other developers have any ideas. I was thinking about a multiplayer mode where the players have to discuss everything, but it would be a bit vague if i can't tell them what it is about...

What about the other members of your team? Have you talked to the "company" that gave you this assignment? Have you talked to faculty?
Hint: it's called "communication."
