I can attest that this is definitely true. I wrote a little 2D spaceship shooter in high school that supported two players. After spending a few months writing and play testing, I challenged my buddy to a round. He completely destroyed me and I was baffled as to how this was possible.

Thats just because you suck at making games:)

The trick to successful multiplayer gamedevelopment is to add in secret "features" that you can use if it looks like you're losing, the most important thing about game development is afterall to have a game noone can beat you at, the game being fun is a secondary concern, you obviously didn't have your priorities straight.
[size="1"]I don't suffer from insanity, I'm enjoying every minute of it.
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!
Loved Grandma's Boy. IMOH this is one of the most underrated comedies in awhile.

Haha, I loved the DDR scene.

"Oh, high score! What does that mean? Is that bad? did I break it??"
I loved the movie.

Yeah, it wasn't technically accurate. But it was an Adam Sandler produced comedy. What do you expect? :-)

Office Space is still the reigning king in movies about software developers though, I've probably seen that movie 50 times and it is still hilarious.
Grandma's boy is hilarious. "Not only have we found all the bug, but we've also provided detailed descriptions on how to fix them".

If you're looking for accuracy from Adam Sandler's production company, you're probably barking up the wrong tree.
Adam Sandler? Oh, that explains everything!

I never bothered to learn who directs every movie I watch, or even learn the real names of the people who star in these movies either because I have more important things to memorize, like source code.

Why is is that trench coats are popular among game dev company owners and other people of influence in the game industry? Is it supposed to make them feel cool like Neo and Morpheus from the Matrix? I have a leather trenchcoat that I wear from time to time ($40 on eBay), but I wear it so people will leave me alone :)
