I'm sorry for 9/11...

I shouted out, "Who killed the Kennedys?" When after all it was you and me...

There is no need for you to apologize. You're just as innocent and just as guilty as pretty much everyone else on the planet with a few exceptions. It seems to me that you've picked up on the new found hysteria surrounding the event propelled by hard right personalities, promoted by Fox News and spread far and wide by the sensationalist corporate media. Don't believe a word of it. Like the book burning yahoo in Florida, they're pimping out painful memories of the event in order to elevate their stature and make a few bucks. The difference this time is that they've spent all year scaring their base about our "black Muslim" President to ensure they will be sufficiently motivated to vote in November. It's truly disgraceful, imo.

I'm sorry. I'm just saying. The 9/11 events make me sad.

And me too.

I honestly believe that the world would be a nicer place if all the muslim governments just dissapeared.
Muslim people seems to make up their lifes pretty well in the occidental/capitalist/democratic world.
We don't need those regimes.

Don't tell the rubbish,guy.
Muslim are normal people. They have their own culture and traditions. They have the right to have their own government according to their culture and traditions. You say that we don't need those regimes.Who are "we"? Following this way we can cause even such thing like buddish terrorism.Don't lough,guy-it would be much more horrible thing. They have nothing afraid at all.Vietnamese are buddish, but they can fight better than many other, despite the life of any living being must be holy for them...

Muslims are normal people in non muslim countries. We don't need a musilm government that stones women to death, who forces them to hide themselves and considers their lifes be worth less than an animal's.

That's all I was talking about. I can befriend a muslim any day here as long as he doesn't suscribe to such barbaric acts.

I understand where you're coming from. Change takes time.

Look at Morocco. It's not exactly perfect in terms of human rights, but there have been some drastic changes in the last 10 years.

Edit... looks like Turkey is improving too (news from today!!):

Yet the ones who executed the WTC attacks were well-educated and living in Western countries. I don't think the geographical location is all that relevant. If you would visit a Islamic country, you'd find the friendliest people you have ever met. I don't think you can accurately base a view of Muslims purely by looking at the nut jobs and the ones in power.

Supporting a government and a religion that encourages people to stone women to agony to finally shut'em on the head as punishment for marital infidelity (punishment that isn't applied on men for the same "crime") isn't exactly what "normal" (note the quotes) people do in occidental countries (at least for now).

My comment isn't about muslim people, but about muslim governments.

Should I hate American people or the US Governmental system itself because their leaders deliberately starved a million people to death? Kidnaped and tortured innocent people from other countries? Assassinated democratic leaders in order to install brutal dictators? Used chemical, biological and nuclear weapons against other people?

We don't need any of that crap - it's not normal, it's fanatacism - but that's no reason for me to form a grudge against 307 million people.

I'm not saying the government's you're talking about aren't downright disgusting - but you shouldn't have to guess which one I'm personally more afraid of.

I dunno. Do you like the american (occidental) way of living life? If you don't you should consider moving to a place like Iran, where you can stone your wife to death when she cheats on you.

There's a big difference between the european way of life/culture and the american way of life/culture. I'm a fan of western culture, when it doesn't involve the inhuman acts we're complaining about.

This way of life doesn't require us to kill millions of innocents though - so "if you don't like mass killing, GTFO and live in Iran" doesn't make much sense to me, sorry.

...that said, being legally obliged to stone my cheating wife is an interesting offer, they should use it on their immigration advertisements! Now if only I could convince her to GTFO to Iran...

What about the Canadian way of life/culture?
