Im looking into purchasing FL studio to make some music for my games and I was wondering if anyone in here knows where I can get training in both FL and music theory
it can either be books or online(digital) training
thank you
Books ?
From my experience, very few books over both training in a certain DAW (be it FL Studio or otherwise) AND in depth music theory. I think you'll probably be best going for a college level music theory book (many come with workbooks so you can work through the material and really apply it. For FL Studio training I'd check out the FL Studio Power series. While I haven't read the one for FL Studio (I don't use that DAW) I've read and own two of the books in this series covering other DAWs. They've always been helpful.

For the best results when learning theory, get a book that comes with a work book or assignments in the text. Both of these should. Music theory is best learned by testing yourself and not just reading.

A good book when you are starting out is "Music Theory for Computer musicians".
I can also recommend Complete Idiot's Guide to Music Theory.
The website MusicTheory.net is full of useful stuff like lessons, theory exercises and ear training.

Here's a book I think might be interesting for those with some theoretical grounding but no composition practice: Composing Music: A New Approach - William Russo.
Right from the first exercise (a few pages from the start) you can see the entertaining (and motivational!) way the author proposes the exercises.
Definitely recommended.
