Data structures for game programmers?
Anybody know where I can download the source code from the cd of Ron Pentons Data structures for game programmers book? Rapidshare link maybe?
It looks like the publisher only offers the book+CD package, there is no other legal distribution.
The CD comes with the book.
If you bought the book secondhand, ask the person you bought it from for the CD.
If you bought the book from a bookstore and it didn't come with the CD, then contact the publisher and ask it.
Otherwise, go buy a copy of the book with the CD intact.
In general the CDs that come with books like that are only marginally useful. They provide you with code samples to play with the examples in the book. But you can't reasonably (or legally) move the pieces over to your own existing engine, so you are best by learning from the text and then building with the knowledge.

Hopefully it's not one of those horrid books that gives you 2 lines of the code and just says 'Go look at the CD for the rest'. I hate books like that!

No. Actually, most of the code is in the book, that's probably one of the reasons it's so big LOL. There might be some parts missing that you need for the SDL GUI programs in the book but for the command line versions you can probably get most off the book. You really want/need the cd but good luck trying to find a cheap used copy!
