This is a pretty bizarre one. Check out this bug report on Blizzard's forum: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/374718165
I confirmed this is happening to me as well. As this is a game dev community, maybe someone here can shed some light on how in the heck Blizzard managed to make my GPU think that Starcraft 2 is a 2D-only game, thus causing my graphics card to mostly shut down and run at 1FPS under moderate load.
Also, anyone else seeing this?
Very strange SC2 bug... Anyone else?
That's crazy, but I'm sure Blizzard will point the finger at AMD/NVidia, and they'll in turn release drivers with a work-around...

It seems that to get full performance...
You must run additional games.

I wonder why they haven't implemented proper AA support. You have to force AA on in the nVidia control panel. The problem with that is that it enables AA for the HUD as well, which can make text and other elements look distorted. I like the actual game, though. [wink]

Quote: Original post by polymorphedAFAIK they're using a traditional deferred renderer, which will create visual artifacts if you turn AA on, unless you do some DX10+trickery and add more complexity to the shaders.
