This is, I hope, one of the stupidest questions I'll ever ask, but at the moment I'm completely confused. I ripped some CDs using CDex, and it worked fine, supposedly. If I go to Options->Settings->Directories and Files, I can see where it is supposed to rip to (C:\Program Files (x86)\CDex\my music\), and I clicked the "..." button which shows me the directory structure, which contains the "my music" folder as well as the names of the two CDs I ripped.
But none of these folders are really there.
I can get to C:\Program Files (x86)\CDex\, but there is no "my music" folder. There is "lang" and there is "Plugins" but there is no "my music," nor is there a "Local CDDB" which the file browser within CDex also tells me exists.
Google Desktop also cannot find any of my files. I'm not sure how to search with the normal Windows search, since it seems that Google Desktop has taken over that functionality.
I do not believe that this is even possible. I am using Windows 7 Professional and CDex 1.70 beta 4, but other than that I can't think of any other useful information to give as I am utterly confused. Help me?
Thanks in advance.
Where did CDex put my files?
Probably in C:\Users\YourAccountName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\CDex\my music
Folder virtualization was introduced in Vista or so, to deal with all those stupid programs that try to write to program files instead of AppData or My Documents like they're supposed to.

Winner! I can't believe I hadn't heard of this before.
