Hey guys. I just finished my first personal game. (out of the many I'm working on).
It's not a big one but I tried my best to make it work as nice as possible. There are currently no known bugs.
More info:
-5 Tile layouts with increasing difficulty(actual tiles are randomly generated)
-Hint button that shows all the pairs that can be eliminated
-Friendly help page where you can learn to play the game.
-Ability to make the game full screen a mute the sound.
I added some screen shots here:
Screen Shot 1:
Screen Shot 2:
Screen Shot 3:
Screen Shot 4:
Screen Shot 5:
It would mean a lot to me if you guys would buy it for what you want(you are free to type in the amount that you think the game is worth) so I can actually buy a domain and make a normal website to add my future games(next incoming is a cool Sudoku).
Here is a link to a page where more info can be found.

My first game - Mahjongg
Dude, you should start playing better games like Zelda or call of duty on the wii.
Much better.
But hey, that game is addictive. Hahahahaha
Angus,

Congratulations for delivering! Unfortunately I'm not much interested in Mahjong and my very casual interest is easily satisfied by Win7 which seems to ship with it.

Wow, that looks really nice, so grats on a completed polished game.
Pricing for this type of game is tricky though, its defintly worth $2 (or even more) but at such a low price the hassle of actually paying is a huge obstacle.
It would probably sell very well on smartphone markets (appstore, android market etc) where purchasing is easy and pirating is a hassle, getting it on a popular service like steam might also work but on the PC there is plenty of competition from free alternatives.
If you're selling on the PC you should also consider raising the price slightly, $3-$5 is also almost nothing but will give you a far greater amount per purchase without really lowering your sales, (Assuming you're targeting the western markets). pretty much anyone who is prepared to make a $2 transaction will make a $3 or $5 transaction aswell, the amount is far less relevant than the hassle of performing the purchase.
(Oh, and i get a 404 not found when i click your link)
Edit: it looks like its a capitalization issue.
this works
Oh and since Vista and Win7 ships with a Mahjong game you might have to push things a bit further to get sales, People are unlikely to buy a second similar game unless its significantly better, no matter what the price is.

First of all.. Thank you guys.
Second... just Windows 7 ultimate comes with Mahjongg. I have just Win7 professional and it doesn't have any games.
Anyway, yes the graphics are clean and that was one of the key aspects when making the game. I just hate when I see mahjongg games in which the tiles look like tiny erasers with images on. I just can't play those.
I changed the link. I messed around a bit with the website and I didn't think about that.
I'll raise the price to 4.99$ right now altough frakly I just gone one sale...
Anyway this being my first game(even though I started programming games about 8-9 years ago) it isn't that complex. It was more like a test to see if I can actually complete a game without starting on another one. Next one will be a bit more complex Sudoku with more finishing touches.

Quote: Original post by LorinAtzbergerNah they're turned off. Go to the start menu and type windows features and enable games. My coworker loves mahjong. He taught me how to play it the other day oddly enough.

Your game looks really polished.

Hm.. yes you are right. However I really don't like that version... the graphics are in my opinion plain ugly(but interestingly also polished).
Edit: I changed the price to... what you want. You are free to type in the price that you consider the game is worth.

looks pretty snazzy. Kudos to you. Sorry, no money, only kudos (because I have no money not because you deserve no money).
I'd recommend working on hooking your game up with Steamworks. That'd help with sales considerably.
