Speaking of modules, why does no one use them in games/demos anymore? They sound really good (not too far from CD quality), are small files and aren't processor hogging (like mp3). Whats the deal?

You know, I'm not too sure of that myself... although, I would have to guess that the reason is that mods don't give you as much control over the music as, say, mp3 does. It's more difficult to do quality effects with mods -- for instance, if you wanted to do a resonant filter sweep, you'd have to save a bunch of versions of the same sample at different degrees of, um, filteredness.

Also, concerning cpu time; they're so much available these days, and I doubt many people care about devoting 2-3% for audio.
