You probably want to learn C++ very well and then move to programming in windows, or any other operating system. Then you can choose to use a graphics API like OpenGL or DirectX and learn that. Check a bookstore or other website for resources on all of these items and I'm sure prople in these forums will be happy to help you with resources too.
