Laptop Question

I'm being a bad forumer by ignoring all the previous posts and saying only this:

All the benchmarks I've seen show the Core i3-300M performing similarly to all other mobile models up to the top-end Core i5-??m, and the fastest Core i7-??M gets about 50% more performance than the lowly inexpensive Core i3-300M. If I buy a laptop, it'll have a Core i3 in it. The extra 50% performance from the Core i7 is cool in theory, but not worth the extreme price premium. I have a Core i7 in my home PC if I want to do any real computing, and I can always use remote desktop to have access to the power remotely. I would never buy the Core i5 because it gives virtually no performance increase for a large price increase.

As far as graphics cards, from what I've seen, all the AMD(ATI) and NVidia cards perform equal to or worse than the latest Intel HD onboard. The only real advantage of the other brands is that you get more/better support for shaders and other "advanced" features.

I seriously doubt that.

Everything is better with Metal.
