What recent 4X games do you recommend?

Hi, I'm looking to waste some weekend-time with realtime 4X games (think Civilization, Master of Orion.. but realtime) that were released relatively recently (like 2000 and forward). Personally I thought Fragile Allegiance was tons of fun and almost perfect, but it was way too shallow and didn't have enough detail to keep me interested for very long. Any ideas? Edit: Clarified realtime. [Edited by - SymLinked on May 3, 2010 11:34:50 AM]
Civ and MoO are turn based games, not realtime. If you want realtime 4X games, the only one I can really think of is Sins of a Solar Empire. If you want turnbased, I guess Space Empires V would be the one to best fit the bill.

Saw a few videos on YouTube about Sins.. it does remind me of Homeworld but that can't be bad. Thanks!
Sins is awesome. Plus you can save/load multiplayer games, so your four-week realtime game with friends doesn't have to be played in one sitting! [wink]
