Can't remember GMail password
Sadness ensues. After the two months of USAF BMT, I can't for the life of me recall my email password, nor the answer to the security question. Searches in Google's help database aren't giving me much help. Anyone have experience with this or know what to do? This is pretty much my "master email account" for the interwebs, so not being able to access it is a pretty big deal. Thanks in advance.

My suggestion may come as a shock to you... but the general solution to this problem is to not forget your passwords [grin]
In time the project grows, the ignorance of its devs it shows, with many a convoluted function, it plunges into deep compunction, the price of failure is high, Washu's mirth is nigh.

This is why I'm not so fond of how browsers remember passwords for everything. Without having to retype passwords every hour it never gets into muscle memory.
Are you sure you never wrote down the password anywhere? Not even a hint?
P.S. Have you tried "swordfish"?

No no, I used to type it all the flippin' freakin' time, but I went two months without typing anything. I did have my gamedev password written down on a piece of paper I had taken with me to BMT, but I think I thought writing down my email account's password was just too much since anyone can change any password on any of my accounts if they can access my email. I'll double check, but I definitely do not have all the paperwork that would be on my desk since I am in fact quite a ways away. But thanks anyway.

Forget about this whole thing for a few days. Try not to think at all about your password.
Then, one day, sit in front of your computer, go to gmail, and type your password as if nothing has happened.
With some luck, the automated habit comes back and you type it correctly without thinking too much :)

This will probably work.
I remember once i was being served by a really hot girl and i blanked my pin number. Not good timing. For 2 weeks i couldn't remember it and then it came to me the next time i went to the cash point.
