Reasonably entertaining post apocalyptic action flick for who's into such, brought down by the evangelical fan service. This isn't the Christianity of "Lord I believe; help my unbelief!" it's dumb, unambiguous "you had better believe it" dreck - it pushes faith down the viewer's throat, suffers no doubt, asks no question - it's the kind of oppressive zealotry the Gary Oldman character would have directed. Religion gets a much fairer treatment when the film's makers don't profess any faith at all, as in Pulp Fiction or Life of Brian.

Hopefully The Road will be much better.
