Looking for better Chrome bookmark sync
I was pretty interested when chrome got it's bookmark sync. Then I started having problems where it simply wasn't syncing everything inside each folder, so on each of my different machines, I had a fairly arbitrary subset of my total bookmarks.
So, I decided to try xmarks. So far, it does sync all my bookmarks, by only if by "sync" you mean "blind copy." It's just copied everything from my desktop to my laptop and my laptop to my desktop. Hardly an ideal solution if you start with a couple of hundred bookmarks.
Is there anything else out there that people can recommend? I don't mind it copying everything the first time it syncs as long as I can clean it all up, even if it takes a little while, and only have to do it once to get both computers with the same set of bookmarks.
I'm really looking for something that will do a proper sync and won't make duplicates of the same bookmark on the computers.

hm.. xmarks does proper synching on firefox. strange it doesn't on chrome..
If that's not the help you're after then you're going to have to explain the problem better than what you have. - joanusdmentia

So it's supposed to do proper syncing? Okay, well it is still in beta for Chrome, so I guess I'll let them know the problem and hope it gets fixed.

Strange that you're having problems with Chrome's bookmark sync. Granted, I only have a few dozen bookmarks, but Chrome has synced them all very well across all my computers, including those in folders.
Anyone else having this problem?

To enable bookmark sync, follow these steps on each computer that you'll be using to access your bookmarks:
Click the Tools menu .
Select Synchronize my bookmarks.
Sign in to your Google Account in the dialog that appears. (Don't have an account? Learn how to create one)
If you've already enabled the sync feature on another computer, you'll see a prompt asking you to confirm that your different sets of bookmarks should be merged together. Click Merge and sync to finish the syncing process.
Click OK.
You can enable sync on as many computers as you'd like and across different operating systems.
