What Do you need to Start your own Game Company? Everything that is needed from money to workspace to anything else?
My First Question is what experience do you need? What type of job/Buisness management skills do you need before you think about starting one up?
A game company is a business. You need to start with a business plan.
You don't need to have game industry experience. There are many successful business-people who start and buy businesses where they have little knowledge of the trades involved. In that case they are bringing business management and business development skills.
If you don't experience in an area you simply hire somebody who does. Many services, such as legal skills, are contracted out to a game lawyer. Facilities management is often contracted out, payroll is often contracted out, IT people are occasionally contract-based, and so on.
Lacking business experience is not an issue. You can hire people to do business development work just like anything else.
You need a wide range of skills for a business. It isn't just making the game software (which needs programming skills, art skills, audio skills, and more) but also business development, accounting, IT, facilities and equipment, sales, marketing, legal, publication, and distribution. If you intend to hire anybody you also need additional legal work, HR work, assorted business insurance, payroll, and so on. There are more, but those are the first that come to mind.
Obviously, all of that takes money and other resources.
If you are attempting to work with any of the big companies you will need a staff of people who are experienced in the game industry and have shipped titles. They will require a list of people who have experience and details of that experience.
If you are actually going to start a business, you may be interested in the GameDevKit.com which includes basically all the forms you will need to start up a game company, and documents about important game business topics.
