Magix's bad programming
i recently uninstalled my magix music maker 14 producer edition which was an upgraded/download version. i reinstalled with the cd and have basic edition again. now there are some features from producer edition left over in the program. when i put the serial number in to redownload producer edition, it doesn't take it, i think because it still thinks i'm using producer edition due to those left over features. now i've been having problems finding this folder in my computer that has these left over files. i finally came across a folder called ''mxgui. 4.0''. i think its the folder since it has some files named after producer edition features but i dont want to make some huge mistake and delete something important. what do you think i should do? i could really use some help. Magix, of course, wont help or respond anymore. it doesn't matter how you contact them.
1) This is a question for Magix customer support (which includes appropriate unofficial forums). Do you think there are many people who use the same software and have the same problem here?
2) My idea of uninstalling doesn't include leftover folders; the normal procedure would be to execute uninstallers of all this Magix software, then exterminate all Magix related files and registry keys. The only important files are your music, which should be recognizable, and serial numbers etc.
3) Are you sure you can download your upgrade more than once? didn't you store it safely the first time?
